What does a Design Sprint look like?
A Design Sprint is a five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers. The Design Sprint Method has been developed by Jake Knapp, John Zeratsky and Braden Kowitz (all former GV-developers) and is nowadays being used by companies in all industries.
What is the difference between a sprint, agile and lean?
Agile and Lean are philosophies originally founded to improve productivity in software development. They have in common that they are time-focused, iterative and a step-by-step method to build a product. A sprint is a tool or practical way to apply those philosophies. A Design Sprint can be used for any pressing business question and not particularly as software development.
Will I be able to facilitate a Design Sprint after this event?
Well, you might become close! Although it is not the main goal of this event to fully prepare you to facilitate a Design Sprint, you will get deep insights into the ins and outs of Design Sprints. These insights will definitely help and even be necessary when facilitating a Design Sprint. At the end of the day you can share these insights after receiving the Design-Sprinter Certificate during some well-deserved drinks.
How can I prepare for the event?
Enough information will be shared during the event to fully comprehend the concept of a Design Sprint without any prior knowledge. If you have time, we advise you to read the book "Sprint: A practical guide to answering critical business questions" by Jake Knapp. During the Dive into Design Sprints-Event, you will experience and learn how to translate the reading material into practice.
